I'm lecturing soon on the 28th March for The Climber's Club Guidebook Centenary dinner in Shap on the edge of the Lake District. I'll be in very good company with Chris Bonington, Alex Huber, Doug Scott, Nick Bullock, Pat Littlejohn, James Pearson, Mark Vallance and John Cleare on the same bill.

This is a very rare thing for me, the first in nine years - I just don't do lectures, I prefer to let my photographs do the talking, but who knows, after this I may just get the bug and do more?

If you want more details go to The Climber's Club website at http://www.climbers-club.co.uk/

Hi everyone

So, I've got a blog and in the near future will have a website built and ready to run alongside. This will enable everyone to view some of my images of adventure sports (rock climbing, mountain biking and paragliding to name but a few of the sports I cover), as well as other images for your enjoyment.

I'll use this blog to keep you up to date with news from the world of David Simmonite Photography and the things I get up to in my photography work, as well as some of the adventures I encounter along the way.

In addition to this, from time to time I'll give pass on the wisdom of my knowledge and experience with hints and tips on photography, so keep checking back…

All the best

David

In the meantime here's a photograph of James Pearson on the first ascent of The Walk of Life (E12 7a) at Dyer's Lookout in Devon.
